I hate motion controls, it was what turned me off skyward sword on the Wii. I want to be able to play it on my switch without any of the annoying motion controls that are there by default.
When I turn off motion controls, it also seems to prevent the right analog stick from controlling the camera. I have tried playing around with the settings and nothing seems to work. Is there a way to use the analog stick to aim the camera without having to turn motion controls on. I’m not sure how these are even related in the first place

This is a rather poor design decision by the developers but it is intentional it seems. You are locked out of free aim when the motion controls are turned off.
To turn the camera you either have to wait for it to move automatically or you press LZ to force it to center. Annoying , but it is all we have.
