Hey folks! I’ve just started the second phase of the game (haven’t even checked out the new town yet), and I’m really excited to roleplay as a classic hero. But, I’ve had fun with some wisecracking dialogue options too, especially when they don’t affect the moral outcome too much. Now I’m curious—can I play as a roguish envoy in my next playthrough? I’m thinking of a mix between Guardians of the Galaxy and a spoiled royal brat, heavily influenced by Fable. The character would cause some chaos but ultimately be in the gray area of morality, just trying to get through the missions with hilarious misadventures. Please, no spoilers! Is there anyone here who has enjoyed leaning into these types of dialogue choices consistently?

Honestly, I just mash the button through the dialogue! It’s all too long for me. I like the outcomes, whatever they may be.
Yes! I had a blast playing as an Arcane Scholar Envoy who had a great sense of humor while helping people. Now, I’m in my second playthrough as a War Hero Envoy named “Shepard” making those paragon choices. For my third run, I’m planning to be a snobby Noble Scion doing the same! Leaning into the roleplay can be a lot of fun!
Love that your War Hero is named Shepard, what a clever nod! <3
Totally with you on that! A wisecracking character sounds like a blast. I can see a Yennefer-type character being a hit!
Yep, I’m that guy! I’m here to solve all these issues for the emperor, and it just keeps getting messier. The world is beautiful, but I have a job to do, and I’m enjoying being the rogue type!
Absolutely, you can totally roleplay a smooth-talking rogue! While the game does have some serious moments that may force you into a more serious tone, there’s plenty of room to embrace that charming wise guy throughout most of the play. Have fun experimenting with your dialogue choices!
For sure, you can play a smooth-talking rogue! Just be aware there are a few key story moments that require seriousness and come with heavy consequences. My character, Rowan, started out as a happy-go-lucky type, but as the story progresses, she gets more serious. But the roguish fun is definitely there!
Why would you skip the story in a narrative-driven game? It’s all about the decisions that shape your experience!
