I’m curious if it’s feasible to play Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) while gaming in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). Would anyone be able to DM and gather other players for the experience? I’m thinking of incorporating dice rolls and maybe even using some external tools or add-ons to help manage character sheets. Has anyone tried this before, and are there any guilds out there that focus specifically on this kind of game? I’ve already explored a couple of other D&D MMORPGs and am interested to hear your thoughts!

But why not just play D&D in a more dedicated space? Mixing them could be a fun experience, especially in a game with so many players! ESO has a great community and constant activity, which makes it a good place for D&D vibes too!
While I’ve never personally played D&D in ESO, roleplaying is definitely a thing here! You can use commands for dice rolls and there are lots of roleplay guilds you can find with in-game filters. Most tend to use Discord for creating character sheets, which often include backstories instead of strict stats. It’s not exactly D&D-focused, but you might enjoy it!
I’ve been in a couple of RP guilds too, but finding one specifically for D&D has been tough. I agree, it’d be awesome to have a dedicated server for that kind of roleplay!
You can definitely do this! I envision the D&D roleplaying happening live in ESO, like meeting up in a tavern, while also using a digital tabletop for the real D&D mechanics. You could roleplay your characters through their adventures in-game and then switch to your D&D discussions for the actual gameplay. It’s all about creativity!
That’s exactly what I’m looking for! I think having the visual elements of ESO alongside D&D sessions would increase the fun factor!
While I think it’s possible, it might be more challenging than just diving into a dedicated D&D setup. I used to play before we had all this amazing technology. But hey, whatever floats your boat! Just search for ESO RP guilds online, and you’ll find plenty of guides and communities!
Exactly! I think combining them can create some unique moments. I love both games and merging them sounds like a blast!
