I’ve got some concerns about the combat mechanics in DS2, particularly regarding the slow motion effect when you knock out an enemy. It feels really awkward and doesn’t keep the combat flowing smoothly. I’d love to see an option to turn that off, similar to what was available in Phantom Pain. Plus, it can be super annoying when you’re caught up in a fight and the game forces that slow motion on you. Just my two cents!

Totally with you on this! It feels like it makes the game less fluid. I try to avoid BT areas just so I don’t have to sit through those long animations with the odradek. Do you think having the option would make it more accessible for players?
Yeah, I have the PS5 Director’s Cut and it let me turn that off right from the start.
I know, right? I noticed that slow motion during the gameplay premiere, and it’s definitely something I’d like to see an option for. It just messes with the action too much.
Same here! Let’s hope they add it as an option in the final release.
Agreed! The slow motion really kills the action vibe. I want to believe Kojima will address this for the next installment, but I’m skeptical since it felt off in MGSV too.
You can actually turn off that animation in the game settings, which is a relief! Makes a big difference.
