Hey everyone! I came across a GamesRadar article where they mentioned an interview with an associate game director who claims Yasuke isn’t actually an assassin. Some folks may take that as a given, but I’m a bit skeptical. There are assassins in the series, like Bartolomeo d’Alviano, who don’t usually sport the traditional hood or have stealth skills. I’m not sure how reliable GamesRadar is, and I find it strange that a developer would drop such a spoiler. Plus, the term ‘assassin’ can mean different things – does it refer to a stealth character or someone from the Brotherhood? They also compare Yasuke to Barnabas, which seems off since neither were assassins. To complicate things further, another article discussed Yasuke as an evolution of Jacob Frye, who was indeed an assassin, leaving me confused. What are your thoughts? Do you think Yasuke could still join the Brotherhood, or do you trust what the article says? What would you prefer?

I think it’s safe to say that at the start of the game, Yasuke isn’t part of the Assassins’ Brotherhood. However, as the story unfolds, perhaps his ties with Naoe might lead him to join. I’m also curious if Nobunaga has connections with the Assassins, similar to what we saw in AC Memories. That could bring Yasuke into contact with them early on!
Remember how Edward wasn’t an Assassin until the very end of AC4? He was playing both sides throughout the game. I can see something similar happening with Yasuke, where he might join the Brotherhood as the story progresses.
Yeah, I hope they go down that route! It would make for a cool character development.
