I’m curious if anyone with an older or less powerful PC has tried out Vibrant Visuals yet. Does it require a beefy system to run smoothly, or is it more optimized than traditional modded shaders? I’d love to get some of those enhanced visuals, but I really hope it doesn’t tank performance too much.

I tested Vibrant Visuals on a laptop without a dedicated GPU, and honestly, performance was rough — barely hitting 20 FPS. I actually got better frame rates running regular Java shaders. Since it’s still experimental, I’m hoping future updates will optimize it better because right now it feels a bit heavy on weaker machines.
Also, I noticed that colored lighting really crushed my FPS. On Linux Mint with optimization mods (including Sodium), I can run Complementary Shaders at 30-50 FPS at lower settings, so I think Windows might be holding my setup back a bit. If Vibrant Visuals gets better Linux compatibility or more optimization, maybe it’ll run smoother.
Oh, that sounds about right. Would you mind sharing your laptop specs so I can compare? I’m rocking a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 with an i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. On Windows 10 with performance mode and nothing else running, I only got around 20 FPS max at default render distance, and it fluctuated a lot.
