Hey everyone! I’m new to Overcooked 2 and have a quick question. My girlfriend and I want to play the game on our two SteamDecks, but I’m not sure if we need to buy a separate copy for each of us, or if there’s a way to play together using just one copy. We’ve tried using family sharing, but it looks like it only lets one of us access the game at a time. Any tips or tricks on how we can play multiplayer under these circumstances? Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out the Remote Play Together feature! One of you can host the game, and then invite the other through the friends list. They will need to accept the remote play invite, but if you both have good internet connections, it should work seamlessly. This way, you can enjoy the game without needing a second copy!
From what I’ve learned, if you want to play Overcooked 2 on two different SteamDecks, you both will need your own separate copies of the game. Family sharing is a bit tricky since only one account can access the game at a time, so that won’t work out for your multiplayer sessions. However, there are some games like ‘It Takes Two’ that allow just one copy for two players, but unfortunately, Overcooked doesn’t fall into that category. So, make sure to get an extra copy if you want to cook together!
Thanks! Nice and clear reply. I was wondering about ‘It Takes Two’ as well since I heard it’s similar. Appreciate the help!
Sounds great; I’ll definitely give that a shot! Thanks for the tip!
