Hey folks, I’ve been struggling with some serious FPS problems on my Acer Nitro 5. I’m not too savvy with computers, and it’s getting overwhelming. The game keeps telling me I don’t have enough video memory – I have 4 GB, but it needs 6 GB to run properly. I really want to find a workaround to play since my FPS drops to around 30 in the open world. I’ve tried installing a Nexus engine patch and playing with the graphics settings, but nothing seems to help. So, I’m wondering if my laptop can even handle this game, or if I should just cut my losses and get a refund instead of watching others enjoy it.

Unfortunately, with the game requiring more VRAM than what your laptop offers, you may struggle to run it smoothly. Unreal Engine 5 is pretty demanding, and even decent older GPUs have a tough time maintaining good performance with it.
If streaming isn’t an option for you, getting a solid GPU upgrade might help in the long run. But if that’s not feasible, a refund could be a better choice if you can’t run it at all.
You might want to consider using Geforce Now. There’s a free tier available, and it could let you play without worrying about your laptop’s specs. Just keep in mind that the free sessions can be limited to an hour.
Thanks! I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll give it a try.
