I’ve heard that I can download Windows 11 for free, but I might need a license key to fully customize it. Is that true? I’m also curious about the differences between the free version and the paid version. Since this is my first PC build, I appreciate any helpful insights!

Yes, you can use Windows 11 for free! However, there are some limitations. You won’t be able to customize things like background images or colors, and a watermark will appear in the bottom right corner reminding you to upgrade. But otherwise, you can use most of the system without any issues. It’s good to weigh whether those customizations are worth paying for, or if you’re fine with the free version.
If you’re inclined, you can snag a key for around £10, which is pretty reasonable. It might be worth it to remove those limitations!
Technically, you’re not supposed to have it for free, but you can use it as long as you’d like without issues. The main limitations revolve around personalization settings, but if you’re okay with that, then just go for the free version! You can always buy a license later if you get tired of the restrictions.
From what I know, it works similarly to Windows 10. You can run it without paying, but you’ll see that annoying watermark. It’ll let you access nearly everything else, though customization options are locked. There are even cheaper options for keys if you decide you want the full experience later.
