Hey everyone! I have the official Valve dock for my Steam Deck, but I’m tight on space around my TV. Right now, my Valve dock is connected to the included charger. I’m wondering if I can easily switch the charger and HDMI cable to my Nintendo Switch dock without any issues when I want to play my Switch docked. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You can swap the chargers without any problems! Just remember, if you’re trying to run the Steam Deck at max usage with the Switch charger, it might not support it very well, and your battery could take a hit.
Yes, you can definitely use the same cables for both docks! Just keep in mind that the Switch’s charger is a bit weaker than the Steam Deck’s charger, so if you’re playing the Deck at a high performance level, it might not keep up and could even drain the battery slowly. But switching back and forth should work fine overall.
I’m not completely sure about the Switch charger providing enough power for the Steam Deck dock. I’ve got mine set up with a good quality USB-C extension cord that lets me keep my Steam Deck out of sight behind the TV, but I can’t reach back there to check the ratings of my chargers when I need to. Would recommend using the Deck’s charger to be safe!
