I’m thinking about getting the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows from Amazon so I can connect my Xbox controller to my PC. I want to know if it supports using the 3.5mm audio jack for both audio output and microphone input. I’ve read some discussions that suggest it does, but I’ve come across some conflicting information. My goal is to use my detachable microphone, which works perfectly with my Xbox Series X and also with my PC when plugged in directly, but I’d like to set everything up wirelessly—except for the mic connection to the controller. Any insights would be awesome!

Yes, the Xbox Wireless Adapter does support the 3.5mm audio jack for both audio output and microphone input. It actually works quite well for gaming on PC with minimal latency. Just plug your mic into the controller, and you should be good to go! It’s definitely the best option for a seamless Xbox controller experience on PC.
Thanks for clarifying! I was worried about compatibility and cost, but if it works well, it might be worth it after all. I just wish the adapter wasn’t so pricey.
