Hey everyone! I’m a newcomer to Oblivion but have been playing Skyrim since 2011. I’m curious about whether the remastered version has the same game balance as the original. I want to know if old builds still work or if things have changed. Also, I’m thinking about creating a sneaky archer Khajiit character. I know I should just enjoy the game as it is, but as someone who also plays Pathfinder tabletop, I like having some kind of build in mind to get into the right groove, lol. I’m interested in the Dark Brotherhood questline but want to focus on completing the main quest first, kind of in a heroic manner instead of going for the evil route. Any tips would be appreciated!

Most builds from the original Oblivion should still be pretty solid in the remaster! There are a few exceptions, like those reliant on fatigue for damage. However, overall, your previous strategies should work just as well or even better now!
Every build remains viable in the remaster! The gameplay and leveling have been designed to keep everything balanced. Just aim for what you enjoy playing. If you’re seeking loot and locations to explore, that’s a great way to start your adventure!
Yeah, I’m mostly after tips for sneaky ranged builds. Any suggestions for websites that might have some fun build ideas that aren’t video-based?
The remaster really focuses on improved graphics and leveling. There shouldn’t be a problem using old builds — just remember to avoid those that were heavily focused on efficient leveling. Sounds like you’re on the right track with what you’re aiming for!
No worries, I’m just after some initial inspiration for a sneak-focused archer build. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the insight! Do you recommend any good websites for build ideas that aren’t just YouTube? I’m looking for inspiration without running into major spoilers.
