I’m planning to set up a new PC and I want to use two NVMe drives, one of which is coming from my laptop. It’s the Solidigm SSDPFKNU512GZH NVMe SSD. I’m a bit concerned about compatibility with my motherboard since it’s originally from my laptop. I don’t care about messing up my laptop, but I just want to make sure everything will work smoothly. Would there be any issues with using this NVMe in my new build?

Just a side note, here’s the full part list based on the link you submitted. Everything seems solid, although make sure to check compatibility with your specific drives. Good luck with the build!
It sounds like your drive is the Solidigm P41 Plus, which is essentially a rebranded 660p. You should be able to use it for bulk storage without any issues. Just a tip though, for your primary drive, it’s better to have one with a DRAM cache for better performance.
Your motherboard should be compatible with M.2 NVMe drives. As long as the NVMe from your laptop has the same connector, which it should (usually M.2 2280 for most laptops), you should be fine. I checked, and everything looks good for you to use it!
I can’t confirm if it’s 2280 either, but I guess if it’s M.Key, it should be. I looked up mine, but info was super limited since it’s from an HP laptop.
I heard from someone that using laptop NVMe might cause “gremlins,” like compatibility quirks or issues. Have you looked into the specifications? I think mine is M.Key too, though.
