Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out if I can install mods for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC since I purchased it through the Microsoft Store, not Steam. I’ve noticed all the chatter about the Steam Workshop for modding, but I’m stuck without it. Can anyone help with this?

Just curious, why did you go with the Microsoft Store version instead of Steam? You can still get mods; you’ll just have to find them on places like Nexus or ModDB instead of the Steam Workshop. It’s doable, but definitely requires a bit more work.
It’s definitely possible to mod with the Microsoft version, but it can be tricky. Some users have managed to share mod files through Steam if you know someone who has the game on that platform. Just be prepared for some extra steps to get everything set up!
Honestly, installing mods through the Microsoft Store is a bit of a pain. You lose out on the convenience you get with Steam. If you can, I’d recommend grabbing it on Steam during a sale; it makes modding a lot simpler!
Yeah, you can still use mods, but it’s way easier if you have it on Steam. With the Microsoft Store version, you’ll have to manually download the mod files and install them yourself. It’s more of a hassle compared to just one-click subscribing in the Steam Workshop.
