I recently started playing Cyberpunk 2077, which I own on GOG. I’m curious if it’s possible to use the offline installers with Steam or Lutris, or if it’s better just to go with the Heroic launcher for installation. What are the best practices for this?

You can definitely use offline installers for Cyberpunk 2077 on Linux. If you go with Heroic, you’ll find it pretty straightforward to run the installer using its ‘run installer first’ feature. It simplifies the process a lot compared to Steam, where you might face some extra hurdles in managing wineprefixes.
The GOG offline installers are great for Linux! They work just fine and are what Lutris typically uses for installation. Just remember, there’s also an add game feature in Heroic, so you can sideload your games there too if you want.
I prefer storing my GOG offline installers on an external hard drive, and I usually install them as I want to play. I mainly use Lutris for my games though, so I’m not too familiar with how Heroic works specifically. But I’ve heard good things about it!
One option is to enable that setting in Heroic that adds your games to the Steam library. It helps keep everything organized in one place, although both methods should work seamlessly.
