I’m considering buying an Xbox Series X from Europe because it’s way cheaper than in the US. I heard it might come with a US power cord, but will it work over here? Are there any additional things I should know about using a European console in the States?

Just buy a EU-US conversion plug, and you should be fine! It’s pretty straightforward to get it working over there.
Yes, you can definitely use a European Xbox Series X in the US! The console has a universal power supply (100-240V), so you don’t need a voltage converter. Just grab a plug adapter for US outlets, and you’re all set. Keep in mind that Blu-rays and DVDs are region-locked, so you can only play European discs on it unless you change the region in the settings, which is doable.
If your console comes with a US power cord, you’re good to go! If it doesn’t, just get a standard figure-eight AC power cord. You might even have one from other devices like a PS3 or PS4 lying around!
That’s right! You can switch the console’s region through settings if needed, but remember, it might be limited in terms of DVD and Blu-ray playback.
