Hey everyone! I recently got a new PS5 for Christmas, but I have an old PS4 Pro where I’ve got a ton of games, including the collector’s edition of CIV6 that I really want to play again. The catch is, I no longer have access to the email linked to my old PS4 account, so I can’t access my purchases. Is there any way to transfer games between different accounts and across generations, or am I out of luck? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, you can’t transfer games across different accounts. You’ll need to regain access to your old PSN account to play those games. The simplest way is to recover your email account. If that’s not possible, reaching out to PlayStation support is your best bet; they’ll guide you through the next steps.
Yeah, it’s a bummer, but game purchases are tied to the account they were bought on. If you can access your old PS4, try changing the email on that account first. Here’s a link to help with the email change process! You may also need to provide info to support if you go that route.
As long as you can remember your email and password, you should still be able to get that account on your PS5 and just set it as the primary account. Just make sure to change your email afterward so this doesn’t happen again! If you forgot the password, though, support should be able to help out after verifying some personal info.
You seriously need to recover your old account. How does someone lose their email? That’s rough! But yeah, without access to your account, you’re stuck.
