Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a jam with my Assassin’s Creed Shadows save data. I’ve got a Ubisoft account linked to an old PlayStation Network (PSN) account, but I can’t recall the password and customer support hasn’t been helpful. The old account is tied to a phone number that’s no longer in service. So, I went ahead and created a new PSN account to play AC Shadows, but now I need to link it to a Ubisoft account. The problem is, when I try to do that, it says I have to unlink from the old PSN account first, which isn’t possible since I can’t access it. I also created a new Ubisoft account as a result. Ubisoft support mentioned that I could unlink the old account from PSN, but I’d lose all my save data. Given that I’m already pretty far into the game on this new Ubisoft account, I’m hoping there’s a way to back up my save using PlayStation Plus and transfer it to my old account. Is there any hope for my save file, or is it locked for good to my new account?

Unfortunately, you can only back up your save files to PS Plus on the old PSN account. If you need to access your old account, try resetting the password using your email address. Creating multiple accounts can complicate things, so it’s best to focus on recovering the old account first. Unlinking the PSN from Ubisoft has to be done through Ubisoft’s website with the correct account info. Without access to your old email for either account, it sounds like you might be out of luck with your save file.
I tried unlinking on Ubisoft’s site, but it only prompts me to relink the same PSN account. It won’t let me switch to my new PSN.
