Hey everyone! I’m loving my playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 and I think it’s the best RPG I’ve played in years. I’m currently in Act 3, and while the story is amazing, I’m feeling bummed about my romance situation. I initially wanted to pursue Shadowheart, but I ended up in a relationship with Laezel because it was so easy, and I didn’t want to risk ending up alone. I broke things off with Laezel at the end of Act 2 to explore other options, but now I’m worried if I can still romance Shadowheart or if I’m doomed to be single for the rest of the game. All my companions seem to be on good terms with me, but I know I missed some key moments with Shadowheart. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Unfortunately, most romances need to kick off in Act 1. You’ve really limited your options now, and that includes Shadowheart. However, it’s worth checking if you can still spark anything with Minthara or Halsin if you’re open to new possibilities.
In Act 3, you can only pursue romances with Halsin and Minthara without any mods. Once you’ve broken up with Laezel (or any companion), there’s no way to go back to her. So if Shadowheart was your aim, you might have to start fresh if you’re hoping for that romance.
Oh no! That’s a bummer. I guess restarting might be your best bet for that Shadowheart romance!
The best romances are actually in Act 3, like Mizora and Minthara, but Mizora isn’t really a romance in the traditional sense—more like a one-night stand. You might find some fun moments, just not what you were aiming for with Shadowheart.
True, Mizora is more of a fling than a romance. If you were looking for something deeper, definitely focus on those earlier options in your next playthrough.
At this point in Act 3, your romance options really boil down to Halsin and Minthara, plus a couple of brief flings with NPCs. It looks like it’s going to be tough to get to Shadowheart now since you missed that key sequence.
Right? I’ve heard that Minthara and Halsin can be fun, but it’s a shame about Shadowheart!
