Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a pickle with my Destiny 2 characters. I have a warlock, a hunter, and a titan, but I’ve mostly dived into playing my titan lately and left my warlock behind. He hasn’t completed the Lightfall or Witch Queen expansions, and today I’m thinking of picking him back up. The trouble is, I hear that warlocks are super beneficial in certain raids and dungeon activities, and I really want to support my team. But I’m praying there’s a way to avoid grinding through all the previous DLCs just to get him up to speed! Is there any way to skip the essential missions or get the subclasses without all the hassle?

Unfortunately, there’s no shortcut for the subclass grind. However, you can get a full set of pinnacle gear from the dungeon event hub, which will get your warlock right up to the current light cap!
You actually don’t need to do past DLCs to reach the right light level anymore! Since Final Shape, they introduced shared light levels across characters. But you’ll still need to unlock the subclasses from their respective campaigns to use them. The good news is the Rite of the Nine event provides some 2020 gear right from the start, so you won’t be stuck worrying about your light level!
