I’m looking to play Infamous: Second Son but I remember there are motion controls at the start involving the controller. My problem is that my controller is pretty old and only works when it’s plugged in. If I shake it too much, it disconnects. Is there a way to skip those motion control parts? I had a similar issue back in Beyond: Two Souls on PS3 where I got stuck because of my broken controller.

From what I recall, the main motion control stuff happens during the graffiti side quests. There’s a tutorial one at the start, but after that, those controls are optional. You might just be able to grind through the intro and then have the option to skip subsequent ones!
If you’re thinking about upgrading to a PS5, you’ll get a new controller with it! Just a thought, in case you’re looking to do a console upgrade anyway.
Honestly, the easiest way to avoid that disconnection issue is to just get a new controller. But I get it; that can be pricey! Maybe consider borrowing one from a friend if you can?
