I’m really excited about the Oblivion remake but I only have an Xbox One. I do own a Chromebook as well, but I’m unsure if it can handle the game. I know it might depend on the model, but I’m curious if there are settings within the game that could make it run on such a device. I’m feeling pretty desperate here!

Most likely, it won’t run due to the hardware limitations. The game requires a dedicated GPU with at least 6GB of VRAM, so unless your Chromebook has something similar, it’s probably a no-go. My laptop with a 3050 4GB can’t even run it!
I’d go for cloud gaming if you have decent internet. GeForce NOW is a solid choice, but just double-check your internet speeds and if the game runs on Chromebooks. Streaming might be your best option!
Honestly, running the Oblivion remake might be a stretch since it uses Unreal Engine 5. You could check out some YouTube videos to see if anyone has managed to get it running on a Chromebook, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Your best bet with a Chromebook is to use a cloud gaming service like GeForce NOW. Just ensure your internet connection is solid, and check if the game can run on your specific Chromebook model first! It’s probably your only option given your current hardware.
