I originally downloaded Red Dead Redemption 2 in June when it was available through PS Plus. After deleting it a while back, I’m interested in playing again but I’m not sure if it’s still part of the PS Plus library. I don’t want to spend money on a PS Plus subscription if that’s the only game I’m keen on. Does anyone know if I can redownload and play it if it’s no longer available on PS Plus?

To access any games you’ve previously redeemed through a PS Plus subscription, you’ll need to have an active subscription again. However, if Red Dead Redemption 2 was part of a rotating catalog and not the Essential games, you won’t be able to play it even with a subscription now. Buying it would be your only route.
The game was taken off the PS Plus Extra tier back in November, so if you want to play it now, buying the game is your only option. It was part of that time-limited catalog which shifts from time to time.
Generally, as long as you have the appropriate Extra or Premium tier of PS Plus, you can access the games listed there. However, if it’s already been removed, like in this case with Red Dead Redemption 2, you won’t be able to play it unless it’s added back later. If you want to continue playing, purchasing might be the best option.
If you want to check if Red Dead Redemption 2 is still available, you might try searching for it under PS Plus to see its current status. However, it seems like GTA V replaced it recently, so the prospect of getting it again through PS Plus is unlikely.
Unfortunately, once a game is removed from the PS Plus Extra lineup, you can’t access it anymore, even if you’ve downloaded it before. If Red Dead Redemption 2 was part of the Extra tier and it’s been taken off, you would have to purchase it to play again.
