I’m curious if I can rescue Minthara from the Moonrise prisons after protecting the portal during the “Oliver” quest. I want her on my team, but I’m worried about leaving the curse unresolved for those still affected by it. I’ve heard that Halsin won’t want to work with Minthara if she’s in the party and that saving them in the wrong order could mess things up with the curse. Has anyone tried this and can confirm it works?

You can definitely do both! I always rescue Minthara as soon as I hit act 2. Halsin’s quest requires some spells that you might not even have right away, so getting her on your side early works perfectly.
Minthara and the shadow curse aren’t linked, so recruiting her won’t hurt your chances of breaking the curse. I knocked her out in act 1 and prioritized rescuing her later with no problems progressing through the story.
You actually don’t need to worry about it! Minthara and the shadow curse are unrelated, so you can recruit her anytime. I recommend picking her up in the second act as she’s immune to sleep magic, which can be a big help in the Oliver quest since you can create a solid team with Halsin and either Astarion or Shadowheart.
