Hey everyone, I’m about to get a PS5, but I ran into a bit of an issue. My nephew changed my username on my PS4, and now the account’s broken. The new name is pretty silly, and he can’t remember what it was originally. I’m wondering if I can still access my account just using the email associated with it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

If you’re logged in on the PlayStation app with your email, you should be able to see your username there. Just make sure to check that as well!
Yes, definitely! When you try to log in, it typically requests your email rather than the username. Plus, all your game data should transfer over nicely.
You should be all set! Even if it asks for the username, just hit ‘Forgot Username/Password,’ and it’ll prompt you for the email linked to your account. You can reset it without the username, so you should be good to go.
