I feel like a relic from the past! I used to play the early Halo games on the original Xbox hooked up to a TV with RCA jacks. Fast forward to today, and I’ve picked up a second Xbox Series S to complement my son’s Series X, all thanks to a nostalgia trip involving the Master Chief Collection. My question is: can my son and I team up to play the campaign together using two different consoles, or is it still limited to split-screen like the old days?

I hear you on that! I remember lugging my Xbox over to a friend’s for epic LAN parties with four consoles linked up—it was such a blast!
Yes, you can totally play the campaign together on two different consoles! This feature is available for every mainline Halo game, so you’re good to go!
Also, don’t forget that you can co-op in ODST on the Master Chief Collection, and both Halo Wars games support it too!
Those days were unbeatable. Nothing felt quite like gaming in the same room with friends.
