Hey everyone! I’m new to Linux and I’m having a bit of a challenge. I’ve been playing Roblox using Sober without any issues, but now I’m looking to play Destiny 2 on Epic with my DLC. I’ve heard a lot about anti-cheat issues and I’m wondering if there’s a way to bypass it or any alternatives that would let me play without risking a ban. I’m sure some of you have dealt with this before in such a large community, so any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!

Bungie is pretty openly against playing Destiny 2 on Linux. If you look into their support documentation, they clearly state that if you try to bypass the system using Linux or any unsupported platforms, you risk getting your account permanently banned. It’s a tough situation because they’re not very Linux-friendly and prioritize Windows for their games. You might want to look into other titles that are more supportive of Linux gamers!
If you’re really set on trying to play Destiny 2, I heard someone mention using GeForce Now. That might be a workaround since it’s cloud-based, but not sure how effective it is for this particular game. Just be careful, whatever you choose!
Unfortunately, you can’t play Destiny 2 on Linux without risking a ban. Bungie is really strict about it and they prohibit access through anything other than Windows. Dual booting Windows is your best bet if you really want to play it without issues. Just be careful if you do decide to try as you might end up with a ban on your account!
Yeah, it’s a huge bummer. I used to be a big Destiny player but switched to games that support Linux better.
Exactly! There are plenty of cool games out there that are friendly to Linux users. Don’t let Bungie’s decisions ruin your gaming experience.
