Hey everyone! I’m thinking about trading my PS3 for an Xbox 360. I want to know if I’ll be able to play classic Halo games and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online with friends who are gaming on newer Xbox consoles. Any insights?

You should also know that the Xbox 360 store is closed, so you can’t make new digital purchases. If you can grab an Xbox One instead for better compatibility, it might be a smarter move. Just a little heads up!
As long as the servers are still active for the specific games you want, you should be good to go. Just remember that you can only play the 360 versions with newer consoles, not any remasters that may exist.
So, for Call of Duty, you’ll be fine as long as you’re playing the same game version. Remasters don’t count, just stick with the older titles. However, older Halo games won’t work since the servers for those have been shut down. Just keep that in mind!
