I’m wondering if the physical PS4 disc of Assassin’s Creed Unity will work on a PS5 console. Does the PS5 support playing PS4 game discs like Unity? Just want to make sure before I pop it in!

Yep, the PS5 is backwards compatible with most PS4 discs, including Assassin’s Creed Unity. You should be able to just insert the disc and start playing without any issues.
I can confirm that it works fine. I’ve played the disc version of Unity on my PS5 a while back with no problems. Both digital and disc versions of most PS4 games tend to be playable on PS5, so you’re good to go!
