I’m curious about whether any game on Steam that supports controllers should technically work on the Steam Deck. I’m not factoring in performance issues, just the controller compatibility aspect. Can anyone clarify?

Even if a game has poor controller support, the Deck auto-binds keyboard buttons to the controller, so it should feel pretty natural to play regardless of the game’s setup.
Basically, yes! The Steam Deck should be able to run any game that has controller support. Just keep in mind that some games with Denuvo protection or other kernel-level anti-cheat systems might have some issues, but generally, you’re good to go!
Yeah, I’ve read that games with Denuvo do work fine on the Deck, so you shouldn’t worry too much about that.
Just keep in mind that games with anti-cheat might have restrictions, but if you dual-boot into Windows, you can run those games as well.
You don’t even need specific controller support! The Steam Deck can map keyboard keys to the controller, which makes it super versatile for almost any game.
Denuvo doesn’t block you from playing those games on the Steam Deck, just so you know!
