I’m wondering if it matters which side I lay my PS5 when it’s positioned horizontally. Are both sides fine to use or does it need to be placed a certain way?

For sure, you need to lay it a specific way. Just do a quick Google search for how to position the PS5, and you’ll find some visuals that explain it clearly.
It actually does matter! The PS5 has specific feet that only fit on one side. The side you should lay it on has rubber padding on two of the corners to keep it stable. If you go with the wrong side, it could affect cooling or stability.
Make sure the PS logo cutout is facing upwards when you lay it horizontally. That’s the correct orientation for it!
