Hey everyone! I have a bit of a noob question: Is it possible to play a game on my Xbox Series X and then pick up right where I left off on a Steam Deck? I’m really interested in getting a handheld for gaming in my bedroom, and I mainly play Diablo 4. I want to ensure that I won’t need to start my games over or create new accounts for everything. Can anyone clarify whether I can switch from my Xbox to a Steam Deck seamlessly? Thanks!

For sure! You can also use some applications like XBPlay on Steam to connect to your Xbox, but that’s a whole different route. Also, if you’re considering using remote play options, make sure your connection is stable. Just remember, for cross-progression to work, linking your accounts correctly is key!
Yeah, for Diablo 4, you’re in luck! It has cross-progression, so just make sure to log into your Battle.net account on both your Xbox and your Steam Deck. You’ll be able to continue right where you left off without any issues!
Just a heads up, not all games support cross-platform saves. Xbox and the Steam Deck are on different platforms, so if a game doesn’t have cross-save features, you won’t be able to share save data between them. That said, Diablo 4 does allow it, so you’re good there!
Good point! Just make sure to check your settings to properly link those accounts. You really don’t want to lose progress!
