I’m trying to change my PSN ID to get rid of the last letter of my username. However, when I visit the PlayStation website to make the change, it always tells me that I need a PS4 or PS5 to do so. Since I only have a PS3, what are my options?

Honestly, if you really want to change your ID, you’d have to consider getting a PS4 or PS5. I know it’s a big investment, but it’s your best bet!
You can try going to the PlayStation support page for changing your ID. However, keep in mind that both PS3 consoles and Vita systems don’t support this feature. You might need their Online Assistant for help.
Just to clarify from the support page: you can only change your ID using a PS4 or PS5. It’s a bummer for PS3 users!
