I’m trying to figure out if I can log into my friend’s Microsoft account on my PS5, download their Minecraft realm, upload it to the PS5 cloud, and then log back into my own Microsoft account to access the world. Basically, I want to know if this method will let me play my friend’s realm on my PS5 without issues. Any tips or advice would be super helpful because this is driving me nuts!

From what I’ve seen, Minecraft realms are tied to the Microsoft account that owns them, so to access a realm on PS5, you’d typically need to be logged into that same Microsoft account. If you log out and back into your own account, the realm might not show up since it’s associated with your friend’s account. So yeah, logging into your friend’s account to download and upload the realm cloud might work only temporarily until you switch back to yours.
Another option is asking your friend to export the realm world and send you the world save file. Then, you can import it on your PS5 under your own Microsoft account. That way, the world is on your account and you can play it anytime without switching accounts. It’s a bit more manual but it avoids the hassle of logging in and out constantly.
You can access your friend’s realm on PS5 by logging into their Microsoft account, but there isn’t a way to transfer that realm permanently to your own account. The realm remains linked to the original Microsoft account. So, if you want to play it, you’ll either need to stay logged in on their account or have them invite your own account as a player while they’re online for multiplayer. Unfortunately, there’s no direct upload to your cloud that transfers ownership.
Yeah, that’s what I was worried about. Was hoping there’d be a way to transfer the world to my account permanently.
