Hey everyone! I’ve run into a bit of an issue with the current PS Plus sale. It seems like I’m not able to buy a discounted PS Plus membership because my current subscription hasn’t expired yet. After browsing through the PS Store website, I found a statement mentioning that you can buy a new membership that starts when your current one ends. Has anyone managed to get the sale price while already subscribed? I’ve tried chatting with Sony support, but it wasn’t helpful. Any tips or experiences you can share?

I’ve had some issues with Sony’s digital services in the past, so I’m not very confident this would go smoothly. Their customer support can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to actually helping with these kinds of subscription problems.
From what I understand, if you’re already subscribed, you probably aren’t eligible for these discounts. They’ve got that ‘eligibility’ clause, which might mean current subscribers are out of luck for these deals.
There’s that ‘if you’re eligible’ phrase they sprinkle everywhere. Usually, existing subscribers don’t get these sale prices because you’re seen as not eligible, which kinda stinks. Best double-check the fine print for the sale terms.
