Can AA batteries be used with the PS5 dualsense controller?

Are you able to use rechargeable AA batteries with the Dualsense controller for the PS5?

The Dualsense uses an internal battery that can’t be easily removed. You will need to recharge this battery using the USB cable provided. It is not possible to use any type of standard battery AA or any other kind of battery to provide power for the dualsense controller.
