I’m looking to create a run and gun build in Helldivers that’s all about speed and fun rather than sticking to the Meta. I’m limited by Warbonds, so I can’t use Strategic Options. I’ve completed most of the free Warbond and Truth Enforcers options already. Any suggestions for a quick and exciting setup?

It’s kind of funny wanting a super fast build that’s not meta because speed is such a key part of many meta strategies. But hey, if you’re set on it, the auto-cannon (AC) and heavy machine gun (HMG) are your pals. These weapons reign supreme against bots, letting you take them down efficiently. If you like a run and gun approach, the AC will fit right into your style while remaining highly effective.
Go for a Reprimand or Scorcher for your primary weapon; they’re fantastic at close to medium range. As for grenades, thermites are amazing, but if you can’t nab those, stun or impact grenades are great substitutes—they can even take out tank turrets and hordes of devastators. An eagle airstrike or strafing run is versatile for demolishing fabricators and taking out patrols. For secondary, the machine pistol is fantastic against smaller threats.
Using a jump pack and strafing run as the core can be really effective. Choose any primary weapon with medium penetration and add two strategies for handling heavy enemies, since you mentioned you don’t have thermites. Smoke or stun grenades are also good for beating a hasty retreat when needed. This build lets you stay quick and adaptable while still packing a punch.
You can’t go wrong with the jump pack as a starting point; it’s great for moving around quickly and hitting unexpected spots. While airborne, you can toss grenades with pretty good accuracy, which helps when you’re in a tight spot. For bots, I love using the anti-material rifle, and the EATs/Quasar Cannon is pretty neat too. Pair these with an autocannon or rocket sentry. If you can, aim to acquire the explosive crossbow from the Democratic Detonations Warbond—it’s a solid weapon for hip firing while on the move.
Jump Pack combined with Quasar is a wicked setup—hop around the map with infinite anti-tank shots. For additional gear, you can customize depending on your play style. Use strafing runs or airstrikes to demolish fabricators and enemy patrols, or bring turrets for cover fire. It’s really up to you. Default armor is a safe bet for bots, offering a sweet middle ground between speed and protection against all the small hits you’ll take.
