Hey everyone! I’m a new owner of the Steam Deck and I’m looking for a solution to use my RF wireless earbuds (which have a USB-C receiver) while also charging the device at the same time. Ideally, I’m looking for a 2-in-1 USB-C splitter that can handle USB Power Delivery for charging through one port and audio output via USB-C on the other. I really want something that’s portable, as I prefer using my Steam Deck in handheld mode and don’t want to rely on a dock. I did a ton of searching online, especially on r/steamdeck, but I couldn’t find a clear recommendation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found a device that might work well for you! Check out this [Amazon link](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D8K2N757?th=1). It’s made specifically for the Steam Deck, but keep in mind it won’t fit if you have a grip case unless you modify it. It has one USB-C port for power delivery and two USB-A ports, which can be paired with a USB-A to USB-C adapter. My SteelSeries Arctis 1 headset has a similar setup and works fine with the USB-A adapter.
Unfortunately, the USB-C specifications don’t actually support splitting the signals like that. It’s set up to work with docks and hubs specifically because they can manage the handshake needed for power and data. If you want to try, you could check out some cheaper splitters on sites like AliExpress or Amazon, but be careful! They’re not always reliable since they bypass the intended USB-C functionality. Personally, I’d recommend looking for a compact hub if you want a more reliable solution, something similar to the Apple AV Hub could work well for you.
I’ve checked out several options and I think the Redmagic Nubia adapter would be your best bet. It’s known to work well with setups like yours.
