Hey everyone! I mainly use my Steam Deck while traveling, but I’ve noticed that it gets pretty cramped in my backpack, and I’m worried that the joysticks might get pressed down. I’m looking for a travel case that can help protect the joysticks from accidental pressure. I checked out the dbrand Killswitch, but it only works with their specific skin, which I don’t really want to buy. Does anyone have recommendations for a good travel case that won’t squish the joysticks?

Hey! When I got my OLED version, it came with a hard shell case that’s molded perfectly for the Steam Deck. You might want to check if yours was supposed to come with one too! That could really help protect those joysticks when you’re on the go.
If you’re looking for options outside the dbrand, you might want to browse around online. I found a few cases that offer decent protection without needing to buy a skin. Just check for reviews on how well they prevent joystick pressure!
I agree! I found a nice one that fits snugly without too much extra bulk. Just make sure it specifically mentions joystick protection!
Yeah, there’s a smaller case inside the hard shell that might be what OP is referring to, but I get the concern about the tight fit in regular backpacks.
