Best Offline Games for Steam Deck with Tons of Content?

-

I’m looking for great offline games to play on my Steam Deck that can keep me busy for hours. I work as an unarmed security guard, and during my downtime between patrols, I like to game. My favorite genres are open world, RPGs, indie games, strategy, and survival. Any recommendations?

I’ve logged over 1,000 hours in Satisfactory. It’s perfect for your setup at work, but I’d be cautious about using the Steam Deck for it—I found the controls a bit off compared to PC. Just a thought!

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a huge time-sink! It’s got so many choices and playthroughs that you’ll easily spend hundreds of hours in it. Also, it’s currently on sale for a limited time if you want to snag it! Just a heads up though, some users find it a bit tricky to play on Steam Deck due to interface issues, so keep that in mind.

Definitely check out Divinity: Original Sin 2 too, since it’s by the same developers and has that same rich gameplay!

I’ve had issues with the UI on BG3 as well; it feels cluttered when playing on the Deck, so be prepared!

If you’re into indie games, you can’t miss Terraria. It’s got endless possibilities and tons of content. Plus, it’s perfect for those quick play sessions you might have during your shift.

I’d say No Man’s Sky is a must-try. It’s had tons of updates over the years and feels like a completely new game now. You’ll find lots of content to explore for hours! Oh, and it works pretty well for offline play too.

Totally agree! I just picked it up again, and the improvements are insane. It’s super addictive! Even as a security guard myself, I managed to stream it on my phone back in the day.
