I’ve been using an RX 6650XT for around 2.5 years, and while it was great on my 1080p monitor, I recently upgraded to a 1440p ultrawide monitor (Gigabyte G34WQC). Now, the 6650XT just isn’t cutting it — it struggles in newer games and often hits 100% usage even when I downscale to 1080p. My CPU, an R5 5600, is usually around 70% usage. I’m looking for a solid upgrade within a budget of $700 CAD. I’m considering options like the RTX 30 or 4070 series, as well as the RX 76 or 7700XT. What would you recommend?

You might want to think about extending your budget a bit and waiting for a good deal on the RX 9070XT. It’s more future-proof and offers great performance. Plus, with FSR4, you won’t have to worry about it being outdated anytime soon.
If I were you, I’d go for the RX 7800XT. It’s a solid choice and you can find it for under $700 CAD, which fits your budget perfectly. Check out places like Canada Computers; they’ve got it for about $699 CAD right now. It’s definitely worth the investment!
Totally agree with you! Future-proofing is key nowadays, especially with all these new game releases.
