I’m on the hunt for the best gear and skills to pair with my Tarnished Nightmare for a Stamblade ganking build in PvP. Currently, I’m using the Tarnished Nightmare alongside a Velothi Ur-Mage Amulet, Hunding’s Rage, and Slimecraw. While I’ve had some success, I’m not entirely satisfied with my damage output. I’m also geared towards dual daggers and using a bow, but I’m thinking of swapping out my bow for something more effective like dual wield or two-handed weapons. Any suggestions on ideal gear sets and skills to improve my build? Also, I’m looking into using the Aedric Spear skill Lone to replace Siphoning, so any advice on that would be helpful too! Oh, and I’ve decided to use the Master’s Bow as well.

For a solid ganking build, you might want to focus on maximizing your damage and crit chances. I’d suggest switching from the Velothi Amulet to something like the Monomyth ring if you have it. Also, consider dropping the bow entirely—dual wield or a two-handed weapon usually provides better damage.
Keep in mind that you need to maintain important buffs without overlapping the same type (like Major and Minor). Make sure you really understand your passives and skills too—your race choice can make a difference in PvP!
Bows can be fun, but when it comes to raw damage and ganking, dual-wielding is usually a better option, especially with your setup.
You might want to rethink your setup a bit. Velothi isn’t really ideal for PvP due to low penetration value. Instead, try mixing Tarnished Nightmare with Flame Blossom; pairing these with the monster set Anthelmir can boost your damage output significantly.
If you go heavier, using Tharriker, Gourmands, Balorgh, and Oakensoul could be a game-changer. This setup allows you to use vamp skills to drain your health for more damage. Just a heads up; your health will be low, so it’s risky against tougher players! Check out some tutorial videos to really nail the mechanics.
Thanks for the tips! So you’re saying to just drop the bow? I thought it could be useful for range.
