I’m looking to get a solid credit earner ship for operations in World of Warships. I don’t currently own any of the coal ships but can afford my first one, and I’m torn between Napoli, Pommern, Anhalt, or Ägir. I’m worried about these ships’ accuracy because I’d like my citadel hits to be rewarding, even if it’s against bots in operations. Also, is there a significant difference in credit earning between Tier 8, 9, and 10 ships if I expect to win over 90% of my matches with most objectives completed? Open to other ship recommendations as well!

Napoli is definitely built for operations with SAP secondaries, smoke screen, decent armor to bounce shells, good speed, and strong AP shells. It’s quite reliable if you like that playstyle and want to farm credits in ops.
If you’re going for credit printing, tier 9 premiums generally reign supreme. Jinan, especially with the booster camo, generates credits like crazy, making it one of the best for that purpose. Secondary-heavy battleships also work well; learn a good positioning strategy and you can really carry matches and bank credits.
For operations, ships with fast firing main guns and effective secondaries make the most sense. Napoli fits that mold well but loses a bit because it’s tier 10, though not drastically. Pommern or Ägir are solid tier 9 choices if you want better credit generation. I’ve not tried Ägir myself so can’t compare firsthand, but Pommern is a reliable pick. If you don’t mind some credit loss, tier 10 ships like Napoli, Salem, Brisbane, or GK are also viable options. Personally, I generally avoid destroyers for ops, but some players swear by them too.
Thanks! I’m curious how much better tier 9 ships fare in credit earnings compared to tier 10 and 8, especially since most info I find is from before the economic rework. Also interested in a direct comparison between Ägir and Pommern since I’m concerned Pommern’s shell accuracy might be lacking like other German BBs.
Interesting! Do you have an idea on average damage and credits earned (assuming premium time)? I’ve found repair costs on Jinan sometimes make it less profitable compared to tier 9 premiums.
