Hey everyone! I just started playing Hearthstone this week and grabbed the free starter deck. It’s pretty basic and gets old fast since I keep playing the same one. Are there any websites or resources where I can find deck ideas that don’t require dust? Most decks I see need legendary cards or dust that I just don’t have yet. Would love some suggestions on fun, budget-friendly decks to try out. Thanks in advance!

Also, if you have some of the big cards like Ysera, Emerald Drake, or Naralex, you can build decks like Chemical Spill Turtle or Big Shaman even on a budget by substituting a few cards. I personally swapped Merithra with Sleepy Resident to keep it budget-friendly and it still performs well. Getting creative with card replacements can really help when you don’t have a full collection yet.
Here are a few solid budget decking ideas you can try right away:
– Imbue Hunter doesn’t really need Goldrinn or Marlon, so you can skip those legendaries.
– Aggro Rogue is pretty cheap and fast-paced.
– Leech Death Knight is another budget deck that uses mostly commons and rares.
– Wispmage is a fun low-cost mage deck.
If you want, I can share some deck codes for these too—they’re easy to copy into your game.
If you’re looking for cheap and fun decks, check out hsguru.net — it’s got a ton of budget decklists that new players can build without legendary cards. For example, Handbuff Death Knight decks only have one legendary, and it’s easy to swap that out. Menagerie Priest and Pirate Rogue decks are also mostly free or cheap. Honestly, this is one of the best times to start Hearthstone since there are many strong decks you can make on a budget without needing tons of dust.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check out hsguru and try those decks out.
Wow that sounds awesome! Would love to get those deck codes to try them out soon.
