Hey everyone! I’m currently stuck on the first chapter of Heart of Thorns, and I want to make sure I unlock the right Living World episodes to help me farm some gold. Since I can’t purchase the Living World content on Steam due to a gift bundle, I’m hoping to gather a list of episodes to focus on.
I’ve got two level 80 characters, a celestial mirage for open world and a power DPS reaper for instanced play. With about 474 gold, plus the gems I can unlock, I’d love to hear your suggestions on where to farm efficiently, especially because I want to make the most of my downtime during events like Octovine and Chak. Thanks a ton! :D

If you’re looking for the best gold farming spots, here’s my personal ranking:
– **Drizzlewood Coast (IBS – Episode 3 or 4)**: This map is phenomenal for gold. It’s dynamic and entertaining, requiring just one of the two episodes to unlock.
– **Dragonfall (LWS4)**: Offers decent gold, but it’s a bit more of a slog if you don’t have skyscale. Completing this effectively is a bit easier with flying mounts, but it has good events.
– **Domain of Istan (LWS4)**: Nice meta event with good rewards. It’s more about timing, so if you like structured play, this is good.
– **Bjora Marches (IBS – Chapter 1 or 2)**: You can convert currency here into Volatile Magic, which helps with trading for trophy shipments.
Most of the other maps fall flat for gold farming, so stick with these for the best results!
Good breakdown! I’ve had great success in Drizzlewood; the events really keep it lively.
I recommend focusing on a couple of key episodes:
1. **Living World Season 4 – Episode 6**: This map is great for farming. You’ll want a commander to help maximize your run for keys, and you can farm volatile magic to trade for trophy shipments. Just note, you may struggle without a flying mount like a gryphon, skyscale, or roller beetle. You can open up to 100 chests a day too, which is solid!
2. **Icebrood Saga – Episode 3**: This one doesn’t necessarily need a commander, making it more accessible. You’ll have to gather war supplies for keys, but you can start farming without a huge stockpile. Just keep in mind, there’s a daily cap on how many keys you can purchase. Pro tip: Use the raid rewards to salvage items for extra resources that you can convert into gold.
Thanks for the tips! I think I’ll start with Drizzlewood Coast since it’s supposed to be pretty lucrative!
That’s a solid plan! Just remember to watch for the meta events; they can really boost your gold in no time!
Thanks for the detailed ranking! I’ll check out these maps and see what fits my playstyle best.
