I’m considering upgrading my CPU and would love some advice. Here’s what I’m currently running:
– CPU: i3 10100F
– GPU: RX580 8GB
– RAM: 16 GB DDR4
– PSU: Corsair VS650
I’m trying to figure out which CPU would be the best upgrade within a budget of around 80 bucks, give or take. Are there any processors out there that would provide a noticeable boost for more CPU-intensive games? Also open to other upgrade suggestions if you think a different component would be a better upgrade choice.

If you’re focusing mainly on CPU-heavy games, a good upgrade might be an i5-10400F if you can find it within your budget. It offers a decent bump for gaming without breaking the bank. Additionally, you could try pushing your budget a little for more options or hunting for second-hand ones in good condition.
Honestly, instead of just going for a CPU, you could consider boosting your gaming performance with a second-hand GPU upgrade like an RX 6700 if you can find a deal. That might give you a bigger bang for your buck in terms of gaming performance. But if you’re really set on a CPU upgrade, older 10th-gen i5s or some low-end 10th-gen i7s can be found under $100, especially in used markets, and would work with your board.
