Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a high-quality controller specifically for docked mode, mainly because I need plenty of button options for a game I play a lot—World of Warships. While I don’t often game docked, it’s a nice change sometimes. My wife also plays on her Steam Deck in docked mode, so any recommendations would be awesome!

If you don’t play docked that often, check out the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C. It’s wireless, rechargeable via USB-C, and comes with extra bumper buttons. Plus, it’s only about $25 on Amazon! I got my girlfriend a purple one, and it feels surprisingly good for the price!
My go-to for docked play is definitely the Dualsense Edge. It has extra buttons compared to a regular PS5 controller. It would be great for WoWS, but keep in mind it’s on the pricier side!
The Flydigi Vader 4 Pro could be what you’re looking for! It’s similar to the Xbox Elite controller but much cheaper and includes adjustable hall effect sticks along with four extra back buttons.
Are those back buttons compatible with Steam Input like the Elite controller?
I got the ManbaOne Interactive Screen Wireless Controller, which has some cool remappable triggers on the back. I haven’t used it for many games yet, but it worked great for Minecraft!
I bought mine from Temu for about $35, and it feels just like the original!
I find the Xbox controller the best for PC, but for my Steam Deck, I actually prefer the PS5 controller. It’s super comfortable!
I have the Wukong version, and I love it too! I lean more towards the Xbox controller feel, but for the price, it’s an awesome choice.
