Hey everyone! I’ve been digging around the forum but couldn’t find anything solid on gear suggestions for playing a ghoul with the upcoming update. I’m particularly interested in what armor would be suitable since I doubt my unyielding set will work well. I plan on going full feral and maxing out on glow melee capabilities. Any recommendations?

From what I’ve seen, the Overeater’s armor isn’t working for Ghouls anymore, plus unyielding is out too. Right now, people are throwing around some interesting ideas. Aristocrats and Mutant’s armor seem decent, and Regenerating and Vanguard’s could be good options, too. A lot of folks are suggesting stacking different Legendary effects for better resistances. We just need to wait for the full update to settle into a solid armor choice for Ghouls.
For Ghouls, you actually want lower radiation resistance so you can absorb more glow from things like gamma guns or environmental rads. Aim for 150 rad resist or less. SS armor likely isn’t your best bet; I’d recommend BoS recon or civil armor instead. They have greater evasion and good defenses. If you’re buffed with Rad Specialist, you might actually offset your rad resist with glow gain, even with higher rad values. And remember, if you’re using power armor, you’re better off focusing on consumables instead!
I’m rocking thorn armor right now; it’s light and has no rad resistance, which helps with dodging thanks to the low cooldowns on evasion skills. I’ve added Vanguard’s effects, but I’m really wishing for a specific ghoul effect that offers passive glow regeneration in the future. That would be perfect!
