I’ve been enjoying Battlefront II after picking it up on sale and managed to play around 6 hours with only a few random crashes. However, after the last crash, the game now refuses to launch. When I try to start it, the EA launcher keeps asking me to install it again, even though it’s already on my system. Once I go through that process, the launcher gives me a completion message, but then the game crashes immediately. I’ve tried multiple Proton versions including Experimental, Hotfix, and others, but it still fails. Has anyone else run into this issue and know how to fix it?

Have you thought about reinstalling the game and using an older version of Proton? EA games like Battlefront II often have compatibility quirks with the EA Launcher, so this might help!
For most EA games, going with Proton 6.3 usually does the trick, but it’s always a bit of trial and error.
Just a heads up, have you checked if Easy Anti-Cheat is necessary? I heard they implemented it in recent updates, similar to Battlefield 1, which could be causing issues.
I didn’t run into that problem with Battlefront II, but I’ve seen others mention it. Thankfully, after reinstalling, the crashes seem to have stopped, and I’ve adjusted my swap file size too.
I’m currently redownloading it, so fingers crossed that works! Do you know which Proton version works best for EA titles?
