Hey everyone! I recently took a dive into some “experience requested” dungeons and found myself playing the role of an unpaid tour guide. It’s been a wild ride as I’ve shared my knowledge on Vespers, Ghost of the Deep, and Sundered Doctrine, with most runs clocking in under an hour—except for Ghost of the Deep, which can feel like a real slog due to Bungie’s design choices. During these runs, I noticed many players are either new, or veterans who got burned out by aggressive meta-chasers stressing over DPS phases. While I totally get the need for efficiency, I have to wonder: are you still having fun with Destiny? Because the people I’ve guided seem to be having a blast, and honestly, I’m enjoying teaching them more than just mindlessly grinding myself. So, are you still finding joy in the game, or does it feel like a second job?

For me, efficiency is part of the fun. Sure, in casual runs I’ll chill and let things flow, but I genuinely enjoy pushing my limits and seeing how much damage I can deal when I optimize my gameplay. It adds an exciting twist!
Just had a matchmade run where we did it in under 16 minutes! Totally a fun experience, even when I was scrambling to keep up!
Teaching runs can be a blast, especially with a good group. The real magic of any MMO is the community aspect! I can’t wait to get back into sherpaing once my schedule clears up. It’s such a fulfilling experience!
I feel you! Teaching can be rewarding, but life gets in the way sometimes. Hope you get back to it soon!
Absolutely, I find Destiny fun! Some weeks I manage to play around 30 hours, while others barely at all. It’s all about what feels right for me in the moment. But when I’m in the mood, the game can be super enjoyable!
Same here! There’s always something new to engage with, and I appreciate the variety.
Totally! I save my serious play for when I’m with friends, and just goof off otherwise.
